I'm a writer, editor and photographer specialising in Latin American current affairs and culture. I'm currently based in Buenos Aires where I'm Monocle magazine's correspondent and also contribute to a range of global publications.

I've worked/written for numerous magazines and newspapers, including: The Independent, The Guardian, The Sunday Times, The International New York Times, The Daily Telegraph, Newsweek, Monocle, Index on Censorship, New Statesman, Christian Science Monitor, GlobalPost, The Miami Herald, New Internationalist, CNN Traveller, Time Out, Conde Nast Traveller and Wanderlust.
I've also contributed to international media outlets from Argentina, the USA, Abu Dhabi and Qatar, and have filed reports and features from countries including: Haiti, Syria, Brazil, Burkina Faso, Ecuador, Bolivia and Serbia.
My audio work includes radio reports and phone-ins as an Argentina/Latin America specialist for the BBC (radio and TV news), Monocle 24, Radio France Internationale (RFI) and Germany's international broadcaster DW. As a correspondent for GRNLive I've also worked with CBS and Fox News Radio in the US and RTE in Ireland.
I've also compiled reports for behavioural insights agency Canvas8 and advised advertising agency Bartle Bogle Hegarty (BBH) on a Latin American campaign for one of its brands.
On the books side, I've worked on the latest editions of The Rough Guide to South America on a Budget, The Rough Guide to Argentina, Footprint’s South America Handbook and Footprint's Brazil guide.
I'm able to supply high quality 300dpi photos with my copy. See this site's photo section for examples or click here to see sample pages from Time Out Buenos Aires magazine.

With extensive sub-editing and proof reading experience, I've edited for Monocle, IPC Media and Diplomat, among other media. I'm also proficient in Photoshop (photo editing), InDesign and Quark (layout), and Audition (audio editing).

I am also world cinema editor for Songlines magazine. Click here for sample pages from the latest issue.
A fluent French and Spanish speaker, my post-graduate qualifications include sub-editing training at the London College of Communication and the NCTJ’s newspaper journalism fast-track.
